SMWS 121.61 Pulled Pork with Chocolate Mousse Whisky Review

Notes

Eye: Dark

Nose: Wow. Blackberries, hints of banana bread, chocolate here and there, something almost savoury! This has to be sherried, what a nose, incredibly complex.

Palate: Sweet dark berries followed by an unexpected chocolate cream explosion. Quality stuff right here.

Finish: Chocolate, creamy sherry, very clean spirit.. great malty notes on the outset.

First Arran whisky I had tried and it did not disappoint. Keen to try the official 10 and 17 year offerings to see how they bench up against this cask from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.
