SMWS 120.7 Sweet, fragrant and satisfying Whisky Review
I picked up a bottle of this a little while ago from The Scotch Malt Whisky Society in Australia but hadn't opened it yet. You can imagine how happy I was to walk in to a bar in Japan and find it available by the dram. Winner!
Notes
Eye: Almost red, quite dark.
Nose: Very floral. Strong espresso. Gorgeous refined sherry and fruity tones.
Palate: Sweet espresso cream, then comes the sherry influence with heaps of fruit and dark chocolate.
Finish: Fruit and dark chocolate ride this out as the espresso dies off. Finishes with a sticky malty sweetness. Fantastic stuff!

This is a gorgeous whisky. A combination of a great distillery and a top notch cask have combined to create a whisky that is not only unique but absolutely world class. To go with this whisky I have picked a track by Depapepe. I've featured them previously on my blog. Great guitarists, great whisky. Enjoy.
