Karuizawa 1979 Cask 7752 Whisky Review
Also tried at Shot Bar Zoetrope in Tokyo, Japan.
Notes
Eye: Super dark
Nose: Deep sherry and berry jam, hints of strong coffee. Wood polish and a heavy floral element. Nuts. Sugar. It's all happening. With time the vanilla became more prominent.
Palate: So sweet, sugar malt on first contact. Espresso jelly babies, amazing Christmas spice with orange citrus and earthy notes. Mushroom? Wow.
Finish: Sweet espresso, earthy sweet malt, dark chocolate. Very refined and very "Japanese" in the whisky sense. Superb finish.
