Single Malt Whisky Reviews from Australia

Glenmorangie Astar Whisky Review

This Glenmorangie caught my eye, cask strength and using White Oak from Missouri.

Notes

Eye: Golden

Nose: Rich vanilla, caramel, honey, pear, hints at citrus and spice, with time comes heavy cream.

Palate: Bourbon influence is strong. Spicy warmth with caramel and oak. Very smooth. Water brings out more fruits and vanilla.

Finish: Long and warming oak and spice. Finishes with vanilla, malt and honey. Great mouthfeel.

Great whisky. Bourbon influenced highland malt at cask strength. To go with this is some excellent music from Justice. Enjoy.
