Douglas Laing Ardbeg 10yr Old Malt Cask 1993 Whisky Review
A nice young indie from a great period in Ardbegs distilling history.
Notes
Eye: Blonde white wine
Nose: Lemon maritime smoke... heaven. Barbecues. Harbour diesel. Chalk and clay. Quite mineral. Vanilla with time. Classic early 1990s Ardbeg.
Palate: Syrupy, restrained lemon and trademark Ardbeg smoke. Has a thick oily feel. As soon as you swallow the peat explodes. Peat monster in disguise.
Finish: Iodine, peat smoke and soft lemon sweetness. Malt notes on the outset. Very long finish.

This is an absolute cracker of a whisky, shame I could only get a 200ml sample. Great song to go with this review. The clip is very well done, visual elements in it correspond to the timing of various layers of sound.
